It's the silliest thing. I've loved the woods since childhood. I spent years memorizing every type of tree. When I was 12, I built my first log cabin. In this way, every piece of wood we source for Bevel & Grain is unique and deliberate. It'll be somehow perfectly suited to complete whatever board it ends up in. Today, I get to combine a 25-year background in hospitality with this life long propensity for woodworking which means bringing you only the finest kitchen cutting boards, suited exactly to your needs. I hope you'll enjoy our products as much as I enjoy making them.
We make end-grain and edge-grain cutting boards with the health and longevity of your countertops and knife-blades always top of mind. Every board is finished with natural mineral oils and beeswax.
We offer standard sizes and pricing, but I also love to customize! Just send me your exact specs or wood preferences, and we'll get to work on the perfect solution for you. We make custom chess and checker boards, too.

With a little TLC, wooden cutting boards last a lifetime.
I recommend a small amount of mineral oil or beeswax every other month, or when the wood starts to lose its shine (this is a natural occurrence as all wood tends to dry over time). Rub with a lint-free cloth, in the direction of the grain, wipe off any excess, and let dry overnight.
